Come and get the lowdown on all the tips and tricks on graduate work, a day in the life of an engineer, what struggles you may face entering the field and how to make that transition from university to work that little easier! MESS Presents: Your Professional Development Workshop. Partnered with QUT Careers and Employment, MESS have prepared a night not to be missed. The night will include advice on: Personal branding and the importance of having a strong network How to prepare a Resume, what should be included and why Cover Letters are so important How to develop a strong LinkedIn profile. Demonstrating best practice for keeping your infromation up to date. We will also be offering free professional headshot photography on the evening for use in your LinkedIn profile Extra curricular and what employers look for in an employee/ well rounded student. The event will run from 6pm on the 20th of April, so come down and learn about ways to best prepare yourself for the future. Food and drink will be provided for your enjoyment. Be sure to bring your current resume to receive constructive feedback from our team.

QUT MESS presents Solidworks 101 Get a head start on your peers with SolidWorks 101. This session aims to get you all ready to tackle the assignments you may face this coming semester and give you the skills you need to succeed! SolidWorks and other CAD programs are vital to know how to use, not only for your university assignments but also out in the real world! So come along and learn some tips and tricks from some students who have had experience with using the software!  Did we mention the best part? This is completely free for members too! So if you want to get a head start on those assignments or simply want to learn the basics of a widely used software, then come along to F101 at 1:00pm next Thursday (24/03/2016).
